WEEK 3: Delight In Your Father’s Desires For You
DESTINY QUESTION: Lord, Why am I here on earth?
To know your DESTINY you need to know your Father’s perspective of your life purpose – why your were born on the earth, in this generation, in your sphere of influence. (Cook 2012) Your key life scriptures, and prophetic words spoken by others, may help you discern God’s answers to your DESTINY Questions. Seek God’s revelation of your DESTINY beyond these 40 days until you have one sentence answers to all the questions.
Listen and DELIGHT in what God says about why you are here. Journal what you hear and how this helps define your DESTINY journey.
DELIGHT in Jesus who enables you to walk away from sin into your DESTINY (John 5:14). In John 5:3 hundreds of sick people are “waiting in the House of Loving-Kindness for their healing.” Change takes time. Waiting can be healing time. Consider trials joy because in these times you can develop perseverance, maturity, wholeness, wisdom, belief, focus, humility; and be blessed. (James 1:2-12). Sometimes the change we are waiting for is in other people or the spiritual realm. (Daniel 10:13)
- Duwmiyah means “silently waits with quiet trust.” “My soul waits in silence for God only; from Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.” (Psalm 62:1-2)
- Hakah means “adhere to” or “long for.” “My soul thirsts for God.” (Psalm 42:2; 63:1)
- Qavah means “to wait for with eager expectation” and “to bind together by twisting.” “Those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength…” (Isaiah 40:31) As we spend time with the Lord, a joining of hearts occurs, creating oneness of desires, thinking and actions and increased strength. (Sheets 2014 p83-85)
DECIDE: Do you truly long to be healed? (John 5:6) It is a vital question because when we are set free and enter the kingdom of heaven on earth – much about our old life will change. Do you know your life purpose? Is anything holding you back from God’s purpose for you on earth? Are you waiting for revelation, empowerment and resources? God has everything we need to fulfil His intentions for us! Earnestly seek Holy Spirit revelation of what you are waiting for and longing to see. Are you ready to stand up and walk? To grow quickly and strong we need to walk out our encounters – putting them into practise, changing our lifestyle. (Cook 2012)
DECLARE: I wait in solitude and silence to tune to listen and speak with you, God, and be one with Your will.
DELIGHT in the will and power of Jesus in you that enables you to walk in your life purpose. The children of Israel waited for 400 years for the promised land and then suddenly it was time to pack and go (Joshua 1:11).
DECIDE: Stand up and walk into your life purpose on earth (John 5:8,25)!
DESTINY BLESSING: Open your heart to your Father’s blessing and receive all you need to activate your DESTINY.
- DELIGHT in your Father and His DESTINY for your life.
Father, I delight in You as the Alpha and Omega! In the days ahead please enable me to find my life purpose – why I was born in this generation and brought to this region. I wait on You now to speak to me. Give me discernment as I rest in You (Matthew 11:28-29). Meet me in the secret place. (Matthew 6:6) And then enable me to stand up and walk out what You show me. In Jesus, Amen
- Invite Jesus into your friends’ DESTINY.
Loving Father, may my friends dwell in Your House of Loving Kindness and be healed. Use me and others, Lord to speak hope and convicting, healing truth into their lives. May they arise and walk away from sin into their life purpose. I pray in Jesus’ holy name.
- Invite Jesus to transform the DESTINY of your region.
Holy Spirit, stir the waters across our nation and region – that healing might transform the people; that Houses of Loving Kindness might be established as wells of healing in local areas everywhere. Lord, call Your people to arise and declare that You are our God and Life has come!
